During the October Medal Mass, the Ateneo High School formally opened the Communication Arts Month.
In this event, for the whole month of October, there will be many new activities. Just to name a few: after each reflection period, the students have a 15-minute reading periods, wherein for the whole 15 minutes, they are asked to read any book, of course it must still follow school rules and regulations, and should also not be for studies, which means school books are not allowed.
Also in this event, we also have different contests held by the English and Filipino department. For example: we have the “300½ Reasons to Read”, a contest made by the English department, which tells each class think of one good reason why we should read. As for the Filipino department, they have the “Boy Balagtas”, wherein a student from each section is entered into the contest where they will write about a certain topic only during the contest itself.
